We’re entering the most insane consumer season of the year. A week ago, I went out to run a few errands and every store’s normally quiet parking lot was crawling with cars. This is the time of year when retailers will tempt you with low prices on things you didn’t know you needed.
I do think there’s a way to game the system. If you’re intentional about keeping a running shopping list, you can plan ahead to take advantage of Black Friday sales on things you were going to buy anyway.
Are you planning to buy anything for Black Friday?
P.S. I’ll be traveling to visit family next week and won’t be posting. I’ll see you back here on December 3rd.
Will buy on Black Friday only if it massively less expensive and already on my wants/needs list. Plus, dropping Amazon Prime membership when it expires in January. Cutting that cord that makes it so easy to buy online with free shipping! It means giving up Whole Foods, Prime network and Audible, but will force me to use library for books and listens as well as more shopping locally.
I find it stressful and overwhelming weaving through all the sales around Black Friday so never shop. I tend to treat myself to food. Well, chocolate. Well, See's chocolate. It arrives Saturday. I'm done.
