So the juggling begins…in my self imposed schedule, this post was supposed to be a quick, easy response to a Style AMA. But y’all are just too smart and too thoughtful to ask an easy question and instead you asked really important things like:
“am I capable of wearing a top that accentuates my breasts only for me or is that secret internalized patriarchy?”
and
“how can I juggle personal style in settings where you have to adhere to rules and guidelines (and add in sensory issues)”
Luckily, I’m the boss here, and none of you knew my Substack publishing schedule until I just told you, and today (the Friday before this post will potentially go live) is my kids’ last day of school, and one only has 2 hours of school today, and the other 3, and both won’t be back in some kind of childcare for another week, and I’ve just started using a CPAP for sleep apnea, but it’s really not helping so far (I’ve been told to stick with it), and I’m exhausted, and SO…
you get my shopping finds instead.
As stated in the subtitle of this post, I spend probably ten hours a week (maybe more) shopping for my one-on-one clients. I am VERY very focused on their style, their measurements, their needs, and their preferences, but I can’t help but notice cool stuff that comes across my path. When I do, I save them for you.
A note on these links: many of them are from fast fashion brands and wouldn’t be considered ethical fashion brands by any means. I include those for three reasons: One, often these are the only brands who carry a wide range of sizes. Two, I will always prioritize your mental health and if you need clothes for a changing body quickly, or your body is changing multiple times and you’re having to buy new clothes often, these are good options. Lastly, not everyone has the financial privilege to be able to spend more on ethically made items.
Usually my finds are more geared towards my own personal style, but in this edition, I was pumped about my Substack launch and saved bunches of bright, happy things to celebrate. Some of these links are affiliate links and I may earn a commission through them. Since these are things I genuinely like and save at the time I see them, and not things I’m just trying to get you to buy, they may no longer be available or available in all sizes.
P.S. I will get to all the AMA’s, my brain just needs some time to mull them over so I can give you the best answers!
