Even though it’s been four months since I joined this platform, I am still in the habit of using this space just for writing and my old email list just for marketing my courses and services. But the difference between me and some other Substackers is that writing here is not my business, helping women with their relationship to clothes is. I hope that if you’re here with me on Substack, you might also be interested in knowing about working with me.
So the thing that I forgot to tell you is that I offer a group program. I think it’s the best way for us to spend time together while working through a structured program that allows space and time for the nuanced topics I discuss here: how clothing affects body image, buying clothes that fit, and rejecting the beauty standards in how we dress, along with all the practical aspects that go into building a wardrobe.
The program is called Making Space. Here are all the logistical details:
The program is delivered through:
1 30-page workbook
15 recorded videos delivered via Thinkific
8 live sessions with me via Zoom
8 weeks of ongoing group discussion and support
the chance for a hot seat to get focus on your specific issues
The content is divided into four modules:
defining your style
editing your closet
overcoming stumbling blocks to letting go
shopping mindfully
We meet every Tuesday night at 7pm eastern for one hour over Zoom from October 3rd through November 28th (no meeting the week of 11/21).
There are two main differences between this program and working with me one-on-one: the cost and the community. The cost is less - it’s $797 for 8 weeks and you can use code SUBSTACK for $100 off. The community aspect of this group is always pretty magical. It’s amazing to be able to be vulnerable with others, hear their lived experiences, and feel less alone in your struggles. I always take as much away from it as the participants do.
We start next week! You can find out more and register here. I’d love to have you.
I’m also hoping for a future session thread not Tuesday nights. I was planning to join this time, but I just joined a band that meets in Tuesday evenings. I’m loving playing the clarinet regularly for the first time in 20+ years!
This is so appealing to me. I can’t join this time around as I have Tuesday night meeting for the months until springtime. I’m going to plan to take a chance and hope your program will be running then. I enjoyed your Substack and even looked you up on Instagram. I appreciate your honesty and imagination. Thanks.
