Welcome to a special week of outfits! As you may know, I’ve collaborated with

Virginia Sole-Smith
and
Corinne Fay
to create a style challenge. It’s only a challenge in the loosest sense of the word, because what we’re trying to do is create an awareness of the style rules that live rent free in our heads, figure out our safe outfits, and then bring it all together.

For the three weeks of this style challenge, I will be shifting my usual Thursday discussion thread (a paid subscriber perk) to Friday posts and be debriefing my week of outfits. If you want more details about the challenge (please join us!), you can see them here:

We’ve all been sharing our experiences this week over on Instagram (me, Corinne, Virginia) and you’ll find links for any available items at the end of this post. To read Virginia and Corinne’s round up, head over here to

Week 1 of this exercise is about breaking style rules.

Day 1: On Mondays, I usually go to Pilates and try not to schedule any clients. However, I do have a client today and I thought I would try and break my style rule that I must not wear activewear when meeting with a client. And yes, I can go to Pilates and come home and stay in the same outfit because it's not that strenuous and luckily I don't sweat a lot. I'm also breaking my no visible belly rule in addition to wearing more color than usual, which I usually only feel comfortable in for activewear.
