Since the definition of personal style isn’t easily pin-down-able, I wanted to see what some other style Substackers thought about it. Enjoy.

Corinne Fay
, Big Undies:

“Personal style is a lens through which the world sees you. It's clothes, accessories, jewelry, shoes, but also what you do with those things. And it could also be body language, identity, the way you conceive of yourself. I think it's something that's ever changing, not static, but can be kind of a throughline. Like your personal style might evolve over the years, but it still exists outside of trend cycles.”

Shanna Battle
, thoughts from my voice memo:

“For me, personal style means a life fully lived. I see it as an authentic expression of your identity, molded by experiences, adventures, and growth that together create a distinct story. This story is conveyed through your style and should continuously evolve to mirror the different seasons of your life. And when you're at the end, your clothes should tell the story of how you lived.”
