As I’ve been thinking and writing about clothing spending over the last couple of months, I knew I wanted to get takes from people who spend most of their work life thinking about money. Q: What’s your philosophy on spending on clothing?
A: In French, my vision of being rich is “Une vie riche de sens et riche en expériences.” I’m not sure it translates literally in English. A life rich in meaning and rich in experiences? I try to apply this philosophy to everything I do. For instance, I never want my life to be too centered around work only. I try to carve out time for things I love and even more for the things I don’t even know if I love yet. I want to learn new skills completely unrelated to my job, travel…
