This month’s shopping finds are an eclectic mix of home decor, wardrobe maintenance (Thursday’s discussion thread was a wealth of knowledge on this!), and clothes. I wanted to share some of the tools I recommend people keep on hand for their wardrobes, so there’s a few of those. As seems to be the case lately, I’m attracted to fun colors and prints, but don’t feel comfortable with them on my body, so I decided to add some of that vibe to my bathroom instead. Of course, there are also interesting clothing finds I’ve come across recently. There are a few President’s Day sales going on today, so I’m sharing this post a day early. Also, heads up, I’ll be on vacation and there won’t be a regular post next week. 🛫🏝️😎
A note on these links: many of them are from fast fashion brands and wouldn’t be considered ethical fashion brands by any means. I include those for three reasons: One, often these are the only brands who carry a wide range of sizes. Two, I will always prioritize your mental health and if you need clothes for a changing body quickly, or your body is changing multiple times and you’re having to buy new clothes often, these are good options. Not everyone has the financial privilege to be able to spend more on ethically made items. Also, some of these links are affiliate links and might earn me a small commission if you purchase something through them.
Lastly, do your best to be thoughtful about what would add to your life and what would take away before you buy.
Access to my links is a paid subscriber benefit. As a paid subscriber, in addition to supporting the hours per week I spend on this newsletter and the ability to see those shopping links, you also get the ability to comment (we have an incredible community here) on regular posts, weekly discussion threads, access to style story guests’ recommendations, and the ability to submit questions for my AMA (ask me anything) posts (I’ll be soliciting questions this Thursday!).
ICYMI1 here are a few recent posts: you all felt the same indignation I did when younger generations try to tell us how to dress. I was absolutely thrilled to have
as my latest style stories guest. A reminder that bodies will always be changing. I loved sharing some of the shifts I’ve made to create an anti-hustle work life on my friend ’s Substack, . wrote a beautiful post in response to a question of mine about how budgeting can be a form of restriction. Not going to lie, I’m still trying to wrap my brain around it. I was also a guest on Julie Duffy Dillon’s anti-diet podcast, Find Your Food Voice.Keep reading with a 7-day free trial
