In my opinion, spring1 is the best kind of weather for getting dressed. Not too cold, but you can still add a layer, and not so hot that you have to wear as little as possible. Here are a few outfits I wore recently.
1. These crazy pants were one of my April purchases, and according to Whering, I’ve already worn them 6 times. They were a Zara find on eBay. I’m also wearing my favorite white tee (I have 3, and wear one almost every day, linked after the paywall), my vintage woven bag via eBay, thrifted sweatshirt, and Troentorp clogs.
2. I love including outfit repeats in these posts and there are a lot of them! This outfit is basically the same as the first one, but I’m also wearing a thrifted bag and New Balance sneakers.
3. My favorite, denim on denim, with thrifted bag, Troentorp clogs, and very old Madewell backpack (linked similar below). I wore this for jury duty and working at a coffee shop after I was dismissed (lucky me!).
4. I have worn almost no black in the last few months, and I don’t love it here. Banana Republic shirt, thrifted jeans, and Birkenstocks.
5. I wore this to a symphony concert. Everything except the necklace is secondhand! Dress linked below.
6. A casual work from home outfit. This shirt is no longer available, but check out the artist’s website for other cool designs.
7. I need to wear these sandals from my April purchases more. Same pants as in outfit 6 and 8.
8. A rainy day version of outfit 6. I am so glad I finally got rainboots and am kicking myself for going so long without them. I bought this cardigan at a vintage store in the fall in my efforts to add more color and I have not worn it much.
9. These are my very often worn, but no longer available Everlane summer barrel jean.
10. This was just a comfy WFH outfit that I was happy with. The shirt is Uniqlo and I found it at the Oakland Museum’s White Elephant sale.
11. Same pants, thrifted and cut off sweatshirt, Elizabeth Suzann hat, and New Balances.
12. Same pants again, secondhand via Poshmark sweatshirt, and my rainboots.
13. I have been trying to wear more fun stuff whenever I go anywhere, like on this day when I was just going to the library to work. This is the Rujuta Sheth jumpsuit (without the waist tie) I bought in March, with Birks and a tote I’ve had for years.
14. Same jumpsuit but with the tie (day to night, people! 🤣 Actually, it was a different night, but you get it) to go hear Victor Wooten play. With a thrifted bag and boots linked below. Side note: I am too old to go to any activity where I am not guaranteed a seat 👵🏻
