As you may know, I’ve collaborated with Virginia Sole-Smith and Corinne Fay to create a style challenge. It’s only a challenge in the loosest sense of the word, because what we’re trying to do is create an awareness of the style rules that live rent free in our heads, figure out our safe outfits, and then bring it all together. This post is going to be more of a discussion thread than a wrap up, because Virginia, Corinne and I recorded a full debrief that will be released next Thursday, May 9. Keep an eye out on Burnt Toast for that.
Day 1: I felt like this outfit really fulfilled this week’s theme well: to integrate what we learned during the week of stretching ourselves outside of our style boundaries and the week of dressing for safety. I really loved the “stick of butter” base outfit with the addition of the cobalt blue bag.
